I designed the Nuptiae Cape for my own wedding. I wanted something simple, gossamer and elegant, but practical as well – lightweight so you can easily take it on and off (and stuff it in a bag if not needed!), but warm enough to keep the chill at bay.
It is worked top down in a single strand of Mohair Silk. It has blousing bishop sleeves over a fitted cuff, and a long, flowing cape with a lace panel at the hem.
It is designed to be worn open, but can be closed by adding a button, hooks or a ribbon at the front.
